A return to something simple and real.
Join us for a few days based from the Ranch overlooking Bydalen Mountains. For 4 days we ride through forests and lakes, find calm while working with your hands making a useful craft with space and time to relax in the nature. On the last afternoon and night we stay in FrösöPark spa hotel to relax and unwind. Our aim is show you a new to connection to the horse, with dynamic training and rides that leave the everyday noise and demands behind - a welcome into the world of North Swedish nature and culture.

Food and Accomodation
The stables are the base - with the camping ground on a peninsula on the lake next to where the horses live, overlooking the Bydalen Mountains. The stables has indoor and outdoor spaces for dining.
The tents are 2-person canvas tents, with comfortable matresses and bedding. We will provide sheets and bedding, There is access to indoor simple shower and toilet (approx 100m away from tent). If you didn’t get a good sleep, indoor rooms are available. The last afternoon and night is spent at Frösöpark Hotel Spa, with a nordic spa to relax and unwind.
Food is cooked by Åsa Persson. Åsa has worked for many years as a chef then progressing to educating Chef’s and restaurants. We can cator to dietary requirements.

❋ Getting there
The stables are in Häljesund, Jämtland
By air — Fly into Östersund Airport (OSD), served by direct flights from Stockholm Arlanda. Trondheim Airport (TRD) in Norway is an alternative for international arrivals.
By train — Direct trains from Stockholm to Östersund (approx. 6 hours). From Östersund, a car or taxi to the stables takes around 30 minutes. We can help arrange a transfer on request.

❋ Example Itinerary
Start the day slow with a brewing your own coffee and enjoy a fresh breakfast delivered to your tent, or join around the fire.
We start the morning with training connection between horse and rider, learning and improving western style riding with renowned trainer Jan Persson.
Lunch is served in a outside surrounded by nature
We then go for a trail ride, exploring the forests and looking for berries and mushrooms
In the afternoon you are welcome to work with your hands during a nordic craft session hosted by George, or swim, sauna and relax around the lake.
Dinner is cooked and eaten around a fire in the ranch

The Trip start Midday 21st August and ends Midday 24th August. If your flight gets in later on 21st, that is no problem, you are welcome to join anytime. We can arrange travel plans.

Professionally Trained Horses
Jan Persson is a renowned horse trainer, competing in reining at an elite level. He trains horses for horses in Europe and America. All horses have been selected and trained by Jan for a calm and stable temperament.
Craft guiding for all levels
George has taught and instructed people in multiple disciplines, and knows how to make it fun, insightful and rewarding.
Cooking on open fire
Åsa has worked for many years as a chef then progressing to educating Chef’s and restaurants. We can cator to dietary requirements.

No, Jan is an experienced trainer who can accomodate a mixed group of experienced levels. He has a style of ‘learning by doing’ which keeps things fun, safe and dynamic.
The horses are excellently trained, which makes them very well suited for beginners. -

The horses are professionally trained in Western style. They are calm and gentle. You will have an introduction and guidance into how to ride Western style if you would like. They will be matched to your preference and ability by Jan and Åsa.

The deposit is non-redundable but can be used on the another trip. Final payment for the trip is 6 weeks before.
